Gabions strength comes from a double twisted hexagonal mesh of steel wires, thus in the event of accidental damage or break of one or more wires, the double twisted wire configuration ensures that minimal strength reduction occurs.

Gabion structures may seem simple at first glance–they just look like cages or cylinders filled up full of rocks interconnected by other similar units but what makes this material so special? The key thing about gabions is how they form permeable barriers when constructed properly because every cell within one has been carefully divided into small enough pieces so water will pass through easily yet retain its integrity as an individual unit during the construction process while also remaining solid.

P.V.C coated wire can withstand extreme weathering and can endure heat of up 60 degree Celsius.
